摘要
We consider the possibility that quark-gluonic degrees of freedom contribute explicity to many-body correlations and forces in nuclei. We develop a general physical picture, and apply it to achieve a remarkably quantitative description of the EMC effect. From the physical picture, we are able to predict specificQ 2 dependence for the effect, in particular, an increasing loss of integrated momentum fraction from charged constituents. We calculate unusual, characteristic features of leptoproduction ofJ/ψ on the nuclear gluons, that is the nuclear gluonic field associated with three-nucleon correlations. We give detailed predictions for all aspects of the EMC effect that are presently being measured with new precision, and contrast these with the expectations from nuclear pions.
