Abstract
In the experiment,the effects of decreasing temperature and removing humidity on the yield and quality of cocoon were studied in high temperature and humid season of southern China,and the results showed that the treatments for decreasing temperature and removing humidity decreased temperature by 1.13-3.11℃ and humidity by 2.51%-5.02%,respectively,as compared with the control in natural condition,also decreased the dead silkworms by 57.4% and increased the cocoon by 4.8 kg per pieces.Moreover,the reelability ratio,reelable cocoon ratio,cleanliness,cocoon filament length,whole cocoon weight,cocoon layer ratio of treatments were also higher than those of the control.Therefore,it could decrease the temperature and humidity of silkworm room and increase the yield and quality of cocoon through putting up cool greenhouse,covering with sunshade net,installing ventilator,opening bottom windows and applying lime,and raising silkworm with mulberry branches in high temperature and humidity season of southern China.
