Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of sodium hyaluronate injected into articular cavity on treating osteoarthritis. Methods 176 patients with osteoarthritis were accepted sodium hyaluronate injected into articular cavity once a week for five times as one course of treatment. Results 2.5 to 20 months follow-up showed 50 cases with excellent effect, 85 good, 28 middle and 13 bad. The excellent and good rate was 72.7% and effective rate was 92.6%. Conclusion The satisfactory clinical effect may be achieved in treating osteoarthritis with sodium hyaluronate, especially for the mild and middle patients.
