Abstract
Application of high frequency ultrasound technology evaluate aging influence on common carotid artery(CCA) morphological changes in adult women.3 886 cases of adult women were categorized according to age.CCA in diameter and in intima-media thinkness(IMT) were observed by high frequency ultrasound.Data of age-stratified analyses of the women suggested that CCA diameter and IMT were increase accompanied with the growthing of age after 20-year-old.Vascular aging growth was obvious apparent among those who were older than 50 years. The influence of age on CCA IMT was greater than that of diameter. In the CCA,with the increasing of ages, the ability to compensatory expansion of lumen area had declined with greater thickness. The aging can cause age-related remodeling of CCA in adult women.
