Interaction mean free path of the particles emitted in cosmic ray nuclear explosions

Summary  The measurements of the interaction mean free path of the near minimum ionizing particles emitted in cosmic ray nuclear explosions are discussed. A new determination of this mean free path has been made at mountain altitude, using a counter controlled cloud chamber containing thin lead foils. The result is 200±25% g cm−2 Pb.
