Numerical Calculation and Experimental Validation for Lamb Wave Dispersion Curves

Dispersion curves of ultrasonic Lamb wave are of great importance in nondestructive test.The paper presents a numerical method to analyze the Rayleigh-Lamb equation for the Lamb wave dispersion curves of an infinite plate and designs a grogram with the algorithm with Matlab.The phase velocity curves and group velocity curves of Lamb wave in an aluminum plate are plotted respectively,and the experiment is conducted to verify the calculation results.The method is of significance for the use of Lamb waves in nondestructive test.
