Abstract
Background and aims. Besides the great advances made in last years in the treatment of chronic HCV hepatitis, clinical care of patients had been one of the most relevant. Elderly patients (i.e. >60 years) had been excluded by treatment on the basis of pre-existing age-related co-morbidities unless they accepted therapy on a voluntary basis. Beginning from 2001, different patients accepted voluntarily antiviral treatment and here we review our experience in this setting looking to SVR, side effects and drop out-rate.
