Abstract
In this paper we develop an easy-to-handle framework for signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) to analyze the success probability and the area spectral efficiency (ASE) in cellular networks. In the cellular networks, the random base station establishes a connection with the user, and the location of users is not fixed, they are modeled as a Poisson point process (PPP). Besides, interference is a major factor in limiting network performance, and interference fading form has a great influence on the success probability of communication between the base station and the user. According to the theory of stochastic geometry, we derive the exact expression of the success probability and ASE under the cellular network. We also analyze the influence of the system parameters on the success probability, and we also compare with the ideal situation which there is no interference signals. The simulation results indicate that different success probability and area spectral efficiency of the network are strongly determined by different interference fading models.
