Comparison of slip angle and non-holonomic constraint vehicle models

摘要
The motion of a simple, two degree of freedom vehicle is analyzed by using both a standard slip angle formulation and a non-holonomic constraint formulation. The two models are compared. It is shown that the model employing the non-holonomic constraint affords greater ease in problem set up and solution while introducing an acceptable error with respect to the slip angle solution.
