Analysis of Hydroactive Dressing Effect on Carbon Dioxide Laser Postoperative Wound

Objective To study the therapeutic effect of Duoderm hydroactive dressing on carbon dioxide laser postoperative wound. Methods Sixty patients with two selected pigmented nevi on face and neck were chosed to compare the healing effect after carbon dioxide laser treatment.One nevus of each patient was treated with Duoderm hydroactive dressing while the other was treated with traditional dry method. Results Duoderm hydroactive dressing group had a shorter healing time[(5±0.2) days]vs[(10.0±0.4) days] and less depressed scars(3.3% vs 13.3%) than traditional method group(P0.05).Patients were more satisfied with Duoderm dressing. Conclusions Duoderm hydroactive dressing is superior to traditional method on the treatment of carbon dioxide laser postoperative wound.
