MP-20.10: Hormonal characteristics of patients with benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH)

Hormonal changes in aging male with and without prostate cancer have recently been intensively studied. Most studies have focused on steroids: testosterone, DHT, estrogen and their metabolites because of possible role of these hormones in pathogenesis of prostatic cancer. There is no data concerning plasma levels of thyroid hormones and TSH in patients with different levels of PSA.
