93. Neutrophil Genomics in ALI/ARDS

In-hospital mortality of acute lung injury (ALI) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is >38%, and has an estimated incidence of 57,000 cases per year in surgical patients alone. Aside from low-tidal volume supportive ventilation strategies, there has been little progress in treatment options and minimal advancements in understanding the mechanisms that propagate disease progression.
