Discussion on "Practice for analysis of oilfield water"——Queries on Specification SY/T 5523-2006

In execution of specification SY/T 5523-2006 Practice for Analysis of Oilfield Water,the following queries were encountered,such as: a) disconformity between referenced documents and recommended methods for inspection;b) no translation of ASTM designation;c) disconformity between SY/T and GB/T standards;etc..In view of this,some revising suggestions are put forward in this paper.It is believed that further improvements of SY/T 5523-2006 will make it more practical and suitable for our oil industry.
