A macroarray study to evaluate differential expression of prognostic genetic markers in metastatic and locally advanced colorectal cancer

Introduction: Molecular prognostic markers are increasingly incorporated into classical staging and grading methods of clinical malignancies. DNA chip arrays represent a high-throughput tool for gene-expression studies. Tumours can be clustered upon these patterns and their biological behaviour could be more precisely described.
