Abstract

Conclusion: For treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis C genotype 1 infection with pegylated interferon 2b and ribavirin complete individualization and optimization of treatment duration is possible according to baseline viral load and first time HCVRNA negativity at week 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24. Complete individualized treatment durations may also be useful for STAT-C triple treatment schedules.
