Abstract
Objective:To analyze the clinical features of 11 patients with 20-nail lichen planus and improve the recognition about this disease. Methods:Clinical data,results of mycological examinations and histopathological characteristics of 11 cases with 20-nail lichen planus were analyzed,and a literature review was also made.Results:Of the 11 cases,6 were male and 5 were female.The average age was 27.9 years old.They all presented with 20 nails deformity.Both the direct microscopic examination and culture for fungi were negative.Histopathologic examination confirmed the diagnosis of nail lichen planus.Conclusion:Lichen planus rarely just affects nails,and more rare to affect the whole 20 nails.It is easy to be misdiagnosed as other nail diseases.A nail biopsy is necessary to make a definite diagnosis.
