Review on Research Progress of Yemugua(Caulis et Folium Stauntoniae Chinensis)

As a folk herbal medicine,Yemugua,the stem and leaf of Stauntonia Chinensis DC.(Lardizabalaceae),has been used as analgesic for long time in Guizhou and Jiangxi provinces,and has been adopted in Chinese Pharmacopeia 1977 and 2010 edition.This paper gave a brief review of Caulis et Folium Stauntonia Chinenesis in the aspect of source,morphology,chemistry,pharmacology,and efficacy,in order to supplying information for further development and application of this herbal medicine.
