Study and application of cs-1 solidification grains for sand control

The unconsolidated sandstone reservoirs are of the characteristics of shallow burial depth, low compaction degree, unconsolidated cementation, easy sand producing, low formation temperature etc. Based on the characteristics, Dagang Oilfield has developed a kind of CS-1 solidification grains for sand control, and its performances and affecting factors were evaluated through kinds of laboratory experiments. The advantages of CS-1 solidification grains are low-temperature setting, short consolidation periodand high consolidation strength.The application of CS-1 solidification grains has solved the sand control problems of high water cut wells and low temperature wells, and obtained obvious effect and remarkable economic benefit.
