Abstract
Data quality is an essential element in the evaluation of an environmental laboratory. The use of high resolution gas chromatography coupled with high resolution mass spectrometry and isotopically labeled variants of target analytes is discussed as a means to recognize subtle factors affecting data quality as well as provide higher quality data than other analytical technologies.
