HIV-infected women of reproductive age in the United States face the decision of if, when and how to conceive a child. Due to the potential to significantly reduce transmission risk to the partner during conception and to the infant during pregnancy and delivery, HIV-infected women have a heightened need for guidance from HIV care providers and gynecologists prior to becoming pregnant.
