The Hazards and Safety Measures of Solid Propellant Rocket Engine Ground Test

Solid rocket motor static test as an assessment engine performance test is one of the major projects.Engine hazards may be due to an external heat source,mechanical effect,shock wave,electricity and other energy caused by propellant combustion,detonation,deflagration to detonation transition to detonation,shock wave and other typical violent chemical reaction,formation of engine in different levels of risk of accidents.This paper analyzes the solid rocket engine ground test process in the presence of risk factors and pathways,and from the viewpoint of technology and management the paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures.
