Abstract
The reactive distillation was used in the catalytic synthesis of ethyl chloroacetate with cyclohexane as the water entrainer to keep the balance moving towards the ester during the reaction.A new reactor is designed and the cation exchange resin is applied as the catalyst due to its hyperactivity and cyclic utilization.Compared with other studies,this method uses smaller amount of raw material and takes shorter reaction time.The total yield can reach up to 98.92%.
