Neutron-Diffraction Study On The Magnetic Transitions Of Bcc Cr80-Xfe20mnx Alloys

A neutron-diffraction study has been performed on BCC Cr80-xFe20Mnx (x = 3.6 and 20.5 at %) alloys. The spectra show the occurrence of antiferromagnetic ordering and support the magnetic phase diagram of BCC Cr80-xFe20Mnx alloys reported previously. The (100) superlattice magnetic reflection remains in the temperature regions of the ferromagnetic and the spin-glass states. The BCC fundamental peak heights and the lattice parameter increase rapidly near the Neel temperature with decreasing temperature.
