Pelvic lipoma causing venous obstruction syndrome.

Reports of extrinsic obstruction of a major venous channel in the lower limb caused by compression from mass lesions 1-3 are uncommon; ~6 Pochelle et al. in 1991 reported the third case of venous obstruction associated with pelvic lipomatosis. 4 We report a case of right external iliac vein compression, not by pelvic lipomatosis but by a large discrete pelvic lipoma, this being the first known report of its kind.
