Temozolomide (TMZ) has demonstrated efficacy in solid tumors treatment namely in CNS malignant tumors and in advanced melanoma with brain metastases (BM). This is due to its chemical structure and pharmacokinetic properties, which compare favorably to other alkylating agents. Its low molecular weight allows it to reach brain tissues in effective concentrations.
