Complexity in life, multicellular organisms and microRNAs

In this work I would like to discuss the question of defining complexity, and to focus specifically on the question of defining complexity in life. Then I would like to use the suggested definition to further investigate the evolutionary transition from unicellular organisms to multicellular ones, and to suggest a hypothesis linking this matter to a biological phenomenon known as microRNAs.
