Application of Position-Sensitive Proportional Counter to X-Ray Spectroscopy

A small position-sensitive counter with a single resistive anode wire was constructed for use in a double-crystal X-ray spectrometer system. Using this position detector we have measured K alpha doubler X-rays in the positions of which are very close together and obtained the two corresponding rocking curves simultaneously to determine the lattice constant differences in various crystals.
