Abstract
Background and aims: Treatment standards for hepatitis B virus infection have been established in recent years and were communicated to hepatologists throughout Europe. However, barriers to appropriate treatment are not well defined and may be affected by social, educational and economic factors. We aimed to investigate if these parameters impacted patient management in Germany.
