Effect of Parental Presence in the Recovery Room on Postanesthesia Agitation and Parent Satisfaction

The objectives of the study were to compare the incidence and duration of post-operative agitation in children who had a parent present on emergence versus those who emerged in the absense of a parent (current practice) and to evaluate and compare parental satisfaction between those who were present during emergence and those who were not.
