Abstract
Although the early recovery of urinary control after radical prostatectomy has been a focal point of both urologist and patient concerns, the precise etiology of post-prostatectomy incontinence (PPI) is not fully understood. Some papers have reported that sparing the neurovascular bundle (NVB) improves PPI, however, it is still unclear whether preoperative erectile function influences PPI. The primary aim of this study is to examine the possible correlation between preoperative erectile function, the nerve-sparing technique during laparoscopic prostatectomy, and the incidence of PPI in the early stage.
