Pore design in view of adsorption, reductive and catalytic properties of Fe or Cu oxide modified large mesoporous silicas

A series of iron or copper oxides Supported on various large mesoporous silicas (SBA-15, SBA-16, Ia3d and Fm3m), synthesized in the presence of the triblock co-polymers were Studied by N-2 physisorption, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Mossbauer and X-ray absorption spectroscopy (EXAFS-XANES), temperature programmed reduction (TPR) in hydrogen and methanol decomposition as catalytic test. Some Peculiarities of the silicas pore structure are discussed on the basis of the different behaviour of their metal oxide modifications established by the combined physicochemical and catalytic investigations.
