Application Study on Environmental-Friendly Chrome-Free Water-Based HTHP Drilling Fluid

This paper describes a new environmental-friendly water-based HTHP drilling fluid,which utilizes novel chrome-free synthetic polymers to provide excellent fluid-loss controlling and thermally stable rheology,effectively prevent high-temperature gelation.Field application results show that the composition of chrome-free synthetic polymers HTHP water-based drilling fluid is flexible,and can be used to develop different environmental-friendly HTHP water-based drilling fluids to meet different requirements.
