"Bid" Farewell to Parkinson's disease - A Silent Auction to Benefit Parkinson Research

Two hundred and fifty people bid on 80 items, from oil changes and movie passes to gas grills and vacation homes, to raise over $21,000 for IND research. Thank you, Beth and Joe Vernali, who put this event together. Beth: "We did this because Parkinson's can leave you so helpless and no mat- ter what you do, it's progressing every day. We wanted to do something… (to) make a difference in stopping this disease." Beth says that the Wake Robin Inn did a great job while ask- ing very little in return. "That's one of the benefits of living in a community like ours - we all pitch in to help one another."
