Study of Z-resolution for a parylene C ΔE-detector and for Bragg spectroscopy as a function of fragment charge and kinetic energy

This paper reports a detailed study of nuclear charge Z-resolution as a function of fragment charge and kinetic energy for a parylene C based ΔE−ER telescope and for the range methode based on Bragg spectroscopy. The behaviour of the charge dispersion δz,z+1 and of the straggling width ΔZ that determine the charge resolution, has been determined and analysed.
