Background: Transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) strain imaging parameters have been used to detect myocardial changes in response to therapy. Patients with severe aortic stenosis are known to have reduced myocardial strain. There is little data to date, as to whether patients undergoing percutaneous aortic valve replacement (PAVR), have improvement in myocardial function.
