ApCYP4C6 participates in the metabolism of glucosinolates in pea aphids Acyrthosiphon pisum

•The expression of CYP4 and CYP6 family gene responses to glucosinolates were analyzed.•The expression of ApCYP4C6 was significantly induced by glucosinolates.•Silencing of ApCYP4C6 increased sensitivity of Acyrthosiphon pisum to glucosinolates.•ApCYP4C6 is involved in the metabolism of glucosinolates in the pea aphid.
