International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery(2009)
Abstract
Introduction: Aneurysmal bone cysts (ABC) are benign, vascular, osteolytic lesions of bone consisting of a septated, cystic cavity filled with non-endothelium-lined, blood-filled spaces. They typically involve the long tubular bones and spine. Approximately 3% of these tumours are found in the head and neck region with the mandible being the most common site.
