Incomplete Fusion Observed In C-12 And O-16 Induced Reactions Leading To Same Composite Systems

Reaction fragments with 2 ≦ Z ≦ 9 have been observed in 12C and 16O induced reactions on targets with mass number around 55 forming the 67Ga and 72Se composite systems. The different mechanisms are compared to other experimental data and to theoretical predictions. A friction formalism is shown to be useful in order to explain the angular distributions observed for the different fragments.
