Abstract
Background: An accurate preoperative differential diagnosis of ovarian tumors is of major clinical significance. The final aim in laparoscopic treatment of pediatric patients with benign ovarian tumors is the preservation of ipsilateral ovary and tube whenever possible, not only the fertility sparing surgery. The aim of this prospective study is to assess the value of preoperative ultrasound in predicting the feasibility of laparoscopic surgery and ovarian and tube preservation for adnexal masses in pediatric patients.
