Effect of propofol pre-treatment on expression of Gq protein in liver of rats with acute respiratory distress syndrome

Objective To observe the alteration of Gq protein expression in the liver of rats with acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS) after propofol pre-treatment and to explore its protective effect on the liver.Methods An ARDS rat model was established by intravenous oleic acid and pre-treated with propofol in the experimental group.The content of Gq protein was measured in the liver tissue by Western blot.Results The expression of Gq protein in the liver was obviously decreased after propofol pre-treatment.Conclusions Pre-treatment with propofol can decrease the expression of Gq protein in the liver and relieve the injury of the liver during ARDS.
