Determination of Seventeen Phthalates in Inks by Gas Chromatography-mass Spectrometry

A method for the simultaneous determination of 17 phthalates(PAEs) in inks by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) was developed.The target analytes was ultrasonic extracted from dried sample films after shattering.The extracts were quantitatively analyzed by GC-MS in selective ion monitoring(SIM) mode using the external standard method.The correlation coefficients of the calibration curves were over 0.999 with the concentration of target analytes in the range of 0.1~100 mg/L.The limits of detection were in 0.05~0.5 mg/kg.The average recoveries were 79.1%~108.3% and the relative standard deviations(RSD,n=6) ranged from 2.8% to 6.5%.The method was simple,sensitive,accurate and suitable for the quantitative determination of phthalates in inks.
