Abstract
Non-Automatic weighing instruments are the type of instruments widely used either by calibration laboratories as well as industries. International Recommendation OIML R76 describes recommended testing procedure for non- automatic weighing instruments, however uncertainty analysis based on described testing method is not explained in. An appropriate calibration (accuracy testing) method and data analysis is needed to estimate deviation from indicated values with a load in the balance pan. This paper describe uncertainty analysis of correction to the balance reading analyzed based on the mathematical model describe in the OIML R76. Weighing method in-line with well-known David B Prowse's balance calibration method is used in this experiments and the uncertainty analysis is aligned with ISO GUM and EURAMET/cg-18/v.01. Results of experiment shows that uncertainty due to the repeatability of reading and dispersion of temperature are the major contributor to the uncertainty of the correction in the calibration of non-automatic weighing instruments based on OIML R76.
