Content Determination of Vitexicarpin in Different Organs of Vitex trifolia L. var. simplicifolia Cham

Objective To provide scientific evidence about chosing useful parts and cultivation through studying vitexicarpin in different organs of Vitex trifolia L.var.simplicifolia Cham.Methods High-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) was used for determination of vitexicarpin in different organs of Vitex trifolia L.var.simplicifolia Cham.Results The results showed that vitexicarpin presented the highest amount in fruit(0.030 8%) and followed by that of leaf(0.012 0%),while vitexicarpin in branch and root couldn't be detected by this protocol due to its low concentration after natural airing.Conclusion It's rational to use the fruit of Vitex trifolia for medication and further exploit application of the leaf.
