Abstract
This paper studies the heavy metals pollution in the soil of Hengyang, analyzes the total contents and available contents of As,Zn,Cr,Cd,Ni and Pb in 36 soil samples, compares the ratio of available contents and total contents of heavy metals in different soils, and contrasts the original data of available contents and total contents. The results show that Cd,Zn,Pb and As pollution exists in industrial zone and agriculture soil respectively, with Cd being the heaviest pollution. The available contents of heavy metals can reflect the ecological effect on the environment truly,so the original data of available contents of heavy metals can serve as the estimation criterion in judging the soil quality.
