Abstract
Temperature perturbations in the melt are known to cause impurity striae in melt grown crystals but an attempt to achieve the same relative stability of growth conditions for aqueous solution growth was not successful. It is suggested that, in fact, the same relative stability of the growth conditions is not necessary for aqueous solution growth.
