Inelastic electron scattering to collective states of Sn118

Elastic and inelastic electron scattering has been carried out on Sn-118 with q(eff) ranging from 0.40 to 1.15 fm-1. Form factors for the giant isovector dipole and isoscalar quadrupole peaks have been obtained and compared to collective model calculations, with methods closely parallel to those used to treat alpha particle and pion scattering to these same states. The charge responses determined by pion and electron scattering agree within uncertainties for the giant quadrupole peak.
