A New Phase Transition And Stability Ranges Of Different Phases In Clcro3k

We report a new first-order phase transition in ClCrO3K and discuss the influence of thermal treatments on the occurance, coexistence and stability ranges of different phases in this compound, as studied by several techniques (optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry). We describe appropiate thermal treatments which allow one to isolate some phases and to enhance the concentration of those which cannot be isolated.
