A new apparatus for measuring the depolarization ratio of light scattered by gaseous argon, methane and tetrafluoromethane
Optics Communications(1979)
Abstract
A new many-branched high pressure cell was used in order to measure light scattering in gases compressed up to 700 atm. The depolarization ratio was determined by simultaneous measurement of various components of light, without needing to vary the polarization of the incident beam. Results obtained using this apparatus are given for Ar, CH4 and CF4.
