Abstract
Stapled hemorrhoidopexy is indicated for the treatment of symptomatic prolapsing piles. Although the literature would support stapled hemorrhoidopexy as a safe and effect procedure, if performed by inexperienced surgeons, for the wrong indications, or without meticulous attention to operative technique it may be associated with complications. The purpose of the first part of this chapter is to describe a standardized and reproducible technique for stapled hemorrhoidopexy. The second part of the chapter will present possible complications and discuss various “tips and tricks” to avoid their occurrence.
