Abstract
•Aluminum cookware leaches trace metals such Cd, As, Pb and Al in boiled water.•6-year old aluminum pot contained highest trace metals while new aluminum pot contained the least.•The boiled water induced micronuclei in mice bone marrow which is age of pot-dependent.•The boiled water induced reproductive toxicity in mice which is age of pot-dependent.•Increase in activities of AST and ALT; and concentrations of CAT, SOD and MDA were observed.
